BREAKTHROUGH WOMEN

Sue set up Breakthrough Women, a biannual event for businesswomen with Deborah Turner in 2016.

Female role models play an integral part in inspiring other women and raising their visibility in the workplace. The events are not about positive discrimination or demonising men, but to show that real success in business is possible for working women no matter how many responsibilities they’re juggling.

The events are for women halfway up the management ladder, or who have just started a business. The aim is to encourage more women to have the confidence to strive for business success.

These events regularly attract over 70 attendees and are now held in collaboration with the Institute of Directors and Federation of Small Businesses. Sue sponsors each event allowing the ticket price to be heavily subsidised for small business owners.
